IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING OUR RE-OPENING

Coming Soon

WE ARE OPENING MAY 19

We hope you are doing well and hanging in there!

We are now booking appointments. (more on that later)

I want to start by expressing my gratitude to our Aru Community, which extends beyond the borders of South Surrey/White Rock and reaches as far as Vancouver, Richmond, Coquitlam, Langley and even Chilliwack; your continued support during these unusual and difficult times is greatly appreciated and does not go unnoticed.

I have recently been contacted by many asking when we will be reopening Aru.

Dr. Henry has been mentioning those of us in the personal service industry, which includes salons and spas can begin opening after the long weekend (May 19th), as we, as a province have shown promising results in our efforts to flatten the curve.

We plan on doing everything we can to keep our Staff and Customers safe and protected moving forward.

Aru Spa and Salon

We will continue follow Dr. Henry, the BC Government and Work Safe BCs' requirements to the tee and we plan to exceed them in some areas of our operations.

We have just finished preparing our facility for the new social distancing regulations. Fortunately, as a business, we already had some strict sanitation practices in place. We will continue with those practices and elevate them further to ensure everyone’s safety. We want our valuable guests and staff to feel safe when entering our establishment.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR NEXT VISIT

Here is what you need to be aware of when we do re-open, even if this is NOT mandated.

With personal services we cannot always be 6 ft. apart, so we feel it is necessary to take strong measures to keep you and our staff safe.

** IMPORTANT **

Please read this entire post in detail. For the safety of our clients and staff, if you are unprepared for your appointmant you may be denied service.

  • We will be operating at lowered capacity, potentially with shorter hours.
  • You will be asked if you are symptomatic or have been feverish at the beginning of your visit. We ask that you PLEASE be honest in your answer, as we know how “desperate” (for lack of a better term) some are to receive our services, but what’s another 14 days when it comes to the safety of many.
  • We request that if you are experiencing ANY symptoms or have been exposed to anyone who is ill, please reschedule your appointment to at least 14 days later.
  • Please show up exactly at your appointment start time. If you are early we ask that you wait in your car.
  • All clients will be required to bring your own mask and have it on before entering Aru. We will not serve clients without wearing a mask. (We hope to have cloth masks for purchase.)
  • Do not bring a removable jacket or purse/bag with you.
  • You will be required to wash or sanitize your hands immediately upon entering Aru.
  • We will ask that you do your part in practicing social distancing. Please keep 6 feet apart and follow our signs and floor markings.
  • The Relaxation Lounges and Steam Rooms will not be available for use at this time.
  • For Spa appointments, we will be limiting use of our change rooms and you may be required to change in your treatment room.
  • Some services may be slightly shortened to allow for time to change in the treatment room.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available and we also recommend you bring a little bottle to have on your person.
  • Staff will be wearing all required PPE.
  • We will not be serving beverages during this time. Please bring your own beverage. Our staff will not be refilling containers, even with water, as we do not want to be handling any personal belongings.
  • We are not able to provide “shareables”, such as magazines, throw pillows, blankets, neck warmers, etc.
  • There will a plexi-shield at our front desk, please respect the boundaries of our front desk staff.
  • We prefer card payments (debit/credit)
  • Please be aware that our front desk will ask you if you would like to add a gratuity and will key it in accordingly, so you do not have to touch the terminal.
  • Please do your best to use the restroom before you arrive at Aru. If you have to use our facilities, please immediately inform one of our staff so we can quickly disinfect it.
  • Please arrive by yourself. Do not bring extra people with you to your appointment. If you do, they must wait outside.
  • Prices will increase due to the increased costs, limited hours and capacity.
  • Some services may not be available. We will temporarily not be offering facials, face waxing other than eyebrows, no couples treatments or makeup services (other than eyes).

We thank you for your understanding in this arrangement and more importantly, your patience as we navigate through these unprecedented times the best way we know how.

PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED AND NEW APPOINTMENTS

If you already had pre-booked an appointment it is most likely still in the schedule. I have been pushing the appointments that were already booked to May 19th and beyond. You can view your appointment date and time in our APP. You can download it from the app store now.

We are currently booking appointments for May 19th and beyond through our APP only. Please keep in mind that appointments are subject to rescheduled.

If you would like to book an appointment, please go ahead and do so within the APP and I will move it accordingly if we do not open on the date you have selected.

We are always available by email at [email protected] if you have any questions, if you would like to purchase products or a Color Kit, and if you would like to purchase a nicely wrapped gift card.

ONLINE STORE

As always our online store is open with new products added daily.

From my family to yours, I hope you all stay safe and healthy and we look forward to hosting you again very soon. Thank you for shopping local and thank you for supporting our family business!

Please take a moment to share this article.
