Microblading is the latest trend in the world of permanent makeup. It is a form of eyebrow tattooing that is done by means of manually implanting pigment into the skin to create “life-like” hair strokes. For anyone suffering hair loss from chemotherapy or alopecia to someone who just is looking for a change, microblading gives endless options to creating a brow shape that may not be achievable through just waxing. A variety of different shades of pigments allow for a perfect colour match.
Is it painful?
Though considered to be relatively painless, that may differ from person to person.
Here at Aru we do our best to ensure that your session is as comfortable as possible. Before we start anything, we have you come in for a consultation. This gives you a chance to fill out a health form to determine whether or not you would be a good candidate, and ask your technician any questions you may have. If you have any doubts regarding your health it may be a good idea to check with your doctor before booking in.
From there we book your appointment and give you a list of things to avoid before coming in to ensure best results. Your appointment is 2 hours. Your technician will begin with measuring out your brows and drawing on your ideal shape. She will not start until you are a hundred percent happy with the stencil shape.
Once you’ve given your technician the go ahead, she will apply a topical numbing cream to help ease any discomfort to start. This takes approximately 20 minutes to absorb. Once absorbed, the tattooing process begins. The technician will then mix up a pigment and test it on your skin for approval, and select an appropriate blade size. Each blade used to tattoo comes pre-packaged and sterilized for your safety.

Your technician will start with a couple strokes and check with you in terms of comfort. If you aren’t feeling numb enough she will apply an additional anesthetic. The actual microblading process generally takes 30-40 minutes. Once finished your technician will go over after care with you. The healing process takes up to 6 weeks.
After your brows have healed you can come back in for an complimentary enhancement session if needed.
How long does it last?
This can vary as everyone holds pigment differently. Microblading generally lasts 1-2 years without touch ups.
Microblading is a popular service and gives amazing results, however it is not for everyone. Some skin types from others. Results can never be guarunteed, and this is why we offer a complimentary enhancement (or followup) session to make any adjustments or changes necessary to help ensure your brows are perfect. Some may need multiple sessions to get the results they want, and extra sessions will come at an additional charge.
